B.E., A.M.I.E.Aust. : Lieutenant, R.A.S.C. (Mechanical Transport), B.E.F., France. Employed in 1915-16 at Naval Dockyards, Sydney. Enlisting in London 13th August, 1917, in 28th London Regiment with the Artists'' Rifles, was commissioned second-lieutenant in R.A.S.C., 23rd January, 1918, and served with Third Army Corps, returning to Australia in 1918. Early education at Marist Brothers'' High School, Darlinghurst.
