B.V.Sc. : Captain, A.A.V.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 25th October, 1915, and sailing 18th November, served six months in Egypt as R.V.O. 4th Divisional Train and to A.L.H. Regt. and in France to 1st Division Artillery, being wounded at Longueval 1st December, 1916. Was at Calais Veterinary Hospital and O.C. Australian Corps Veterinary Station until the Armistice, returning 24th June, 1920. Mentioned in Despatches. A.M.F. : Lieutenant-Colonel.
