M.B., Ch.M. : Private, 2nd Pioneer and 35th Battns., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 18th March, 1916, and sailing 16th October with 35th Battn. reinforcements, served with battn. until wounded at Messines 1st June, 1917, and evacuated to England. On return to France was transferred to Pioneers, remaining with them until demobilisation. Early education at Lithgow and Petersham Public and Sydney High Schools.
