B.A., Law I : Lieutenant, 37th and 39th Battns., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 25th October, 1916, and sailing 17th November with 22nd Reinforcements 7th Battn., joined 37th Battn. 18th June, 1917, in Wameton sector and fought at Ypres, Somme and elsewhere, being wounded 9th August, 1918, in Hamel sector. Transferred to 39th Battn. 12th October on the disbanding of 37th Battn., serving until demobilisation. Promoted second-lieutenant, 1st May, 1918, and lieutenant, 1st October.
