M.B. : Major, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., Egypt and France. Enlisting 26th March, 1915, and sailing 8th June, joined 5th Australian Field Ambulance and, crossing to France after one year in Egypt, was appointed to No. 2 Australian General Hospital, Boulogne. Served at 1st A.F.Amb. from 29th March, 1917, at Bullecourt and Ypres, being severely wounded at Advanced Dressing Station, Broodseinde, 8th October. Died of Wounds, Le Treport Hospital, 2nd December, 1917, and was buried in Mont Huon Military Cemetery, Le Treport. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
