Med. I : Lieutenant, R.G.A., B.E.F., France. Enlisting 7th February, 1916, was posted to Goulburn Camp, promoted sergeant and recommended by G.O.C. Duntroon and State Commandant N.S.W. for transfer to England to obtain commission, being under A.I.F. age limit. Sailing 19th July, was commissioned in R.G.A. (Special Reserve) 20th February, 1917, and, crossing to France 31st March, fought with 149th and 2nd Siege Batteries. Returning to England on account of injury 30th December, served with 529th Siege Battery from n th April, 1918, to 26th January, 1919, returning for demobilisation. Early education at Sydney Church of England Grammar School.
