M.C., M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, R.A.M.C., B.E.F., England and France. Enlisting in London in August, 1914, served as lieutenant at R.N. Hospital, Chatham, till October, at No. 13 Hospital, Boulogne, with 25th Field Ambulance, at No. 9 Hospital, Havre, and was R.M.O. Wilts, and, later, Royal Berks. Was slightly wounded several times, reported "Missing "27th May, 1918, and later "Prisoner of War in Germany Promoted captain, 22nd August, 1915. Awarded M.C. in 1917 and Mentioned in Despatches. Early education at Sydney High School.
