B.A., Law II : Lieutenant, igth and 18th Battns., A.I.F., France. Enlisting 1st December, 1915, and sailing n th March, 1916, as second-lieutenant, and O.C. 10th Reinforcements 19th Battn., arrived in France 29th May. Transferring to 18th Battn. 21st July, was wounded at Pozieres on 29th and evacuated to hospital in England. Returning to France 7th December, served till again wounded and gassed on the Somme 24th February, 1917, and sent to Duchess of Westminster''s Hospital, Le Touquet. Promoted lieutenant, December, 1916. Died of Wounds, Le Touquet, 24th March, 1917, and buried at Etaples Cemetery. Member of S.U. Scouts. Early education at Barker College.
