B.A., LL.B. : Lieutenant, 20th Battn., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in July, 1915, and sailing 18th May, 1916, with 3rd Divisional Cyclist Coy. as second in command, was transferred to battn. in England and joined it in France in December. Seconded to 4th Division H.Q. as A.D.C. to General Holmes, 24th January, 1917, remaining there till 31st March, when wounded between Lagnicourt and Noreuil, whence evacuated to hospital and Australia, arriving in September. A.M.F. : Lieutenant 26th Battn. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at St. Andrew''s College.
