B.A. : Hon. Lieutenant, Y.M.C.A., A.I.F., England and France. Enlisting 10th January, 1916, was promoted corporal but discharged 12th August. Re-Enlisting with Y.M.C.A., immediately sailed in October and served in England in 1917 and in France in 1918, from February to November as 14th Brigade representative, returning in 1920. Was in action at Villers-Bretonneux and during August Advance to Hindenburg Line, though gassed at Corbie in June, 1918. Member of Council, Canberra University College. Early education at Sydney Grammar School. Later at Moore College, and Ridley Hall, Cambridge.
