B.A., Law II : Lieutenant, A.F.C., A.I.F. Being an A.G.A. officer, was mobilised on the outbreak of War, sent to Forts at Sydney Heads and Bondi (in charge) and later to Pt. Cook School, Victoria, to attend aviation course from 25th September, 1917, to 21st December for service abroad. Killed in Aeroplane Crash, Laverton, 16th November, 1917, and buried in Waverley Cemetery. Early education at Woollahra Grammar School.
