B.E. : Lance-Corporal, 20th Battn., A.I.F., Gallipoli and France. Enlisting 20th March, 1915, and sailing in April, joined battn. at Gallipoli 24th June and, transferring to 4th Field Coy., Engineers, 7th November, was invalided seriously ill to hospital, Alexandria, in December. On recovery rejoined unit and, crossing to France in June, 1916, as lance-corporal, served until invalided to hospital. Rejoining unit, was again invalided to hospital and thence to Australia, arriving 25th September, 1917, and entering hospital privately. Died of Illness due to War Service, District Hospital, Narrandera, 6th June, 1918, and was buried in Narrandera Cemetery. Early education at The King''s School.
