Enlisting 18th October, 1916, and sailing 12th December, served as 2nd Surgeon at No. 1 Australian Auxiliary Hospital, Harefield, from February to June, 1917, and December, 1917, to August, 1918. In France was Operating Surgeon at No. 2 Australian Casualty Clearing Station from June to December, 1917, and Surgeon in Charge Surgical Team, No. 3 A.C.C.S. from August to December, 1918, returning thence for demobilisation. Lecturer in Obstetrics, 1936.
