M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F. Enlisting 1st August, 1918, and sailing in November in H.M.A.S. Encounter with Samoan Expeditionary Force, returned in January, 1919. Sailing again 28th May as M.O. transport Kuisk in charge German deportees, landed at Durban through sickness, but was later M.O. at A.I.F. Depot, The Castle, Capetown, until April, 1920. Early education at Sydney High School.
