B.E. : Captain, 2nd A.L.H. Regt., A.I.F., Gallipoli. Enlisting in December, 1914, and sailing as second-lieutenant in February, 1915, landed at Anzac n th May and was severely wounded on 12th, being evacuated to Alexandria and thence to Wandsworth Hospital, England. Promoted lieutenant, 20th September, 19 16; transferred to General List as captain, 29th March, 1917, and seconded as A.D.C. to G.O.C., A.I.F. Depots, United Kingdom, returning in December. Sergeant, S.U. Scouts. A.M.F. : Officer 1st (Central Queensland) A.L.H. Regiment. Early education at Scotch College, Melbourne. Later at Wesley College, Sydney.
