B.V.Sc. : Captain, R.A.V.C. and A.A.V.C., B.E.F. and A.I.F., France. Enlisting in December, 1915, and sailing 26th April, 1916, as Veterinary Officer 6th A.L.H. Reinforcements, was on arrival in Egypt transferred at the request of the British Government to R.A.V.C. in England for service in France. Served with R.A.V.C. until the Armistice, when retransferred to A.I.F. at the request of the Australian authorities. Wounded at Dickebusch in 1917. Early education at St. Joseph's College.
