M.C., M.B., Ch.M., F.R.A.C.S. : Captain, R.A.M.C., B.E.F., France, Salonika and Palestine. Enlisting and sailing in March, 1915, joined 72nd Field Ambulance as lieutenant, at Eastbourne. Crossing to France, served with 7th Yorkshire Regt., 52nd F. Amb. and later at No. 10 Base Hospital, Rouen. Then was with 2/6th F. Amb., 60th London Division, in Salonika and Palestine, being present at the capture of Jerusalem and returning to Australia in June, 1918. Awarded M.C. at Tel-el-Sheria. Early education at Sydney Grammar School.
