M.B., Ch.M. : Captain, A.A.M.C., A.I.F., France. Enlisting in April, 1916, and sailing 22nd August, joined 7th Australian Field Ambulance, being R.M.O. (temporary) 21st Battn. and then with 5th A.F.Amb. till invalided after Battle of Bullecourt, April, 1917. Then served at Bellicourt, Ypres and Ploegsteert Wood till December. Was with 20th Battn. in March, 1918, when Germans advanced towards Amiens, then at Villers-Bretonneux, Hangard Wood, the August Advance, Peronne and Hindenburg Line, remaining with battn. until January, 1919. Returned for demobilisation after being eight months assistant medical officer, Children''s Hospital, Shadwell, London. Early education at Barker College. Later at St. Andrew''s.
